Hello All , Now in my mid 60s , I have collected all kinds of knives over the years since I was eight years old and also made a number of Scandi style knives in my time . At present I have some really nice Khukuri knives especially from Purna Darnal of GGK , some nice small folders and a few fixed blade knives . In the past Ive used a few different knives as a combat survival instructor with the British Army so Ive kind of been around knives much of my life .
I really have no kind of practical use for another knife as such but just from a collectors point of view I am thinking of pulling the trigger on either a SOG Tech Bowie or the SOG leather handled 2.0 bowie for no other reason other than I really like the aesthetics of these knives . Now as usual I have done some research into these models and there are both good and not so good reviews into them . If I do end up with one at the most it will only get some fairly light bushcraft use cutting , slicing , feathersticking etc , so as I say its mostly a collectors piece . Are there any of the forum members here who actually own these knives and if so it would be good to hear of your experiences and photos would be good .......Thanks

I've got a SOG Seal Pup that I like a lot. Mine is polished steel which I prefer. It seems like everything is coated these days.

Know what you mean regarding coated blades unfortunately on many production knives the fine grind lines are still visible if they havnt been polished up correctly , apparantly using metal polish like brasso can make a difference
