The knot demonstrated is similar to one shown in a Tod's Workshop video. Looks to be simple and effective for arming swords.

I would really like to find a way to wear my Royal Armouries 14th century longsword. Sword suspension systems are surprisingly hard to find.

That video answered many of my questions. Thanks.

Look for the Tod Cutler videos on YouTube. He explains a few different options.
And will gladly sell you the parts.

Anyone have any leads on good belts? With or without the hardware? If you're just looking for leather straps to add Todd's hardware to then Tandy Leather in the US has a decent selection. Outside of the US I don't know.

<looks at all of the 1-2" wide leather straps hanging on the wall> yes, Tandy is a good source since you can get some widths up to 72" long, and they are cut with the right grain orientation to prevent stretching. I buy mostly the 2" x 72" and use a strap cutter to make the needed widths (a 2x72" strap is not twice the price of a pre-cut 1x72")
