Hi! I have been contemplating the blades offered at this Ebay store: stores.ebay.com/ancientarmsBefore I try a sword blade, I'm going to start with this dagger: ![](http://i33.tinypic.com/5n88s3.jpg) Searching the forum has not yielded anyone who has tested these blades - so I'm calling out in hopes someone can suggest I either give it a go or save the money for better uses! ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Thanks all!

Buy a sword, all there stuff looks cheap. What are you looking to spend. You can get into a beginner Katana for 60 bucks, for 150 and up you can get a beginner medieval sword.

*!? Thanks. I appreciate the sentiment. Perhaps I was unclear in my post above. But I'm hoping to find someone who has actually purchased, and can offer some info on how usable these guys blades are. I'm interested in some of their stock for dressing out with carved handles & scabbards. Swords (medieval), I got - like the one in my avatar. / ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Arrr, says I. If no one has bought from Ancientarms before, I'll likely get the dagger and see how it tests out. But there are so many folks being creative here, I figured someone might have tried this before. Thanks to all!

Considering most of the blades they have that I like are considered illegal to import by Australian laws I have not had the opportunity and probably won't because many of their double edged weapons are illegal, for no real good reason that I can ascertain. I contacted customs and their answer was "it is illegal cause we say it is" or that is how it felt to me.

^Wow - I would love to know what that's about!
We've got weapons that aren't allowed here, but I'm not aware that any particular blade is illegal (of course, I may just be ignorant of some ordinance for all I know). Mechanisms like switchblades aren't allowed, but the same stilleto with a flip blade is.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of customs agents?
