IMHO their inexpensive swords are not bad for the money. I've dealt with them regarding the inexpensive stuff and I haven't had bad issues but there seems to be a consensus here on the forum that their more expensive stuff is to be avoided.

I own the Uesugi Kenshin Daisho. I never really meant to own it. I was suffering from the "fever" one evening, and offered them $77. They said.....OK. I think that they claim Furubushidoo to be the Mfgr. The set consists of this; Katana: 2lbs-12oz. Blade:27.75", Tsuka:14.25", POB 3.71". Ko-Katana: 2lbs-2oz. Blade:19.875", Tsuka:10.00", POB 2.67". The Ko-Katana would cut paper out of the box. The Katana sported intermittent evidence of secondary bevelling. Even some flat spots on the edge. (Nothing that abrasives will not mend). I would say machine sharpened with no inspection after the fact. Both have slightly loose itos. The Kashiras on both can be pulled clear of the tsuka. Both are very fun to handle. Some crazy leverage tricks are afforded by the 14" tsuka. (Like using the forehand as a fulcrum for overhead down cuts=instant blade speed!). They both are fairly pleasing to regard. Well worth $77. I would not pay the asking price however. If you wreck them, you won't be overly sad.

I would buy from Trueswords.com or swordsofmight.com. You can also buy directly from most manufacturers, like Musashi, Hanwei, Cheness, Ronin Swords....the list goes on and on. What is your price range? we can recommend some good buys or you could look at the reviews on here.
