I like Zelle...its a direct transfer, no clawbacks, immediate credit to your bank and text message confirms. Sign up thru your bank.

I believe Zelle treats every transaction as a gift of money. I have used it, but only with a seller here I had bought from before and trust. There are a number of sellers here on my trusted list.

Zelle has absolutely no buyer protection. There's a number of scammers utilizing that going around right now. It's a superb option to use with people you trust, but if you have even a little doubt, I wouldn't use it

Incidentally, PayPal has anecdotally been known to hold or refuse to transfer money tendered for the purchase of a sword. Such actions are presumably, but not transparently, based upon PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy under their Terms of Service: “Prohibited Activities You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: .. 2) relate to transactions involving.. (k) certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law...” www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/acceptableuse-fullThey have also refused to extend buyer protection coverage to swords. Presumably, this is based on a PayPal-identified item sold in violation of its restricted transactions: “The following items or transactions are not eligible for PayPal’s Purchase Protection program: ..Anything prohibited by PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy..” www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/buyer-protectionSince PayPal’s TOS specify that PayPal alone makes such determinations, disputing the appropriate interpretation of such terms is futile. My personal conclusion is that PayPal is no safer than any other service provider for a buyer, and that PayPal is considerably more likely than others to sabotage your *perfectly legal and legitimate* transaction. jmtc

That's downright disturbing as a precedent. Just looked into that leaked (and, for the time being, scrapped) policy addendum and that is beyond a slippery slope for PayPal. They really seem desperate to alienate their users this year.

Paypal have been shoddy for years now. I've had two Paypal accounts perma banned when I had my Ebay business (and Ebay and Paypal were linked). You get one or two unhappy customers and Paypal will side with the buyer 100% of the time. They ruin your business so you have to open up a stealth account. This is probably why they want to bring in the fines as the Paypal (and Ebay) stealth community is larger than this SBG community. That shows how bad and prevalent their "perma ban, with no chance or defending yourself or even disputing it" practices are. A real bank would never be legally allowed to behave in the manner that Paypal does.
Good riddance. I hope they go bankrupt.

Although vendors like zsey and huawei that use paypal dont really have another choice.

Wow, I'm sorry that you've had such bad experiences with them. That is beyond frustrating.
By "this year" I meant their 'political' and "reprimanding" behavior, which I'm sure you're familiar with and I won't expand upon as there's no need for the blue font to appear.

Hilariously, last I checked, my State's CCDW Program allows you to pay your license renewal fee online via Paypal, and Paypal's fine with it.
A literal license to carry a weapon concealed, totally fine.

Ah, I get what you mean. My thoughts on "They really seem desperate to alienate their users this year." I was like "They've been trying to do that for years now haha... Especially if you're a seller."
