These are some ridiculously fast and clean cuts! it's stunning how many static cuts I have performed with the top stacked on the bottom after having them cut in half. Particularly impressive one is when I cut two cartons in one cut and the tops stacked on top of the bottoms in such an identical manner that it's almost comical. This is the Munetoshi Blue Viper katana I purchased from a member weaponiZed --a lightning fast katana weighing less than 2 lbs (890g), by having an Unokubi Zukuri (Cormorant beak) cross section to reduce the weight. The blade has next to zero niku (muscle) to sport a V-shape edge bevel and a razor sharp edge. The swordsman can move it quickly with such ease and cut through light-to-medium target with scarily clean incisions. weaponiZed put some extra sharpening on the edge himself, and he did a fantastic job!

and now I want a Munetoshi. Great. I do remember that one up for grabs. Indeed it was a great deal from weaponiZed, especially with his sharpening and reprofiling. A slight amount of wear and scuff but I don't mind at all for a workhorse piece.

I am a fan of the Munetoshi Viper as well. As near as I can tell, though, they haven't been in production for two to three years. I signed up 3 different email to be notified when they come back in stock by SwordNArmory, but neve got a ping. For at least a year they even took that feature off the site. I guess the mailing list got too big.

I had one of their hira zukuris, it was a great cutting sword. I remember atte used to use a viper, looked like a fun blade
