Just have to ask something
Are there any special problems involved sending objects abroad from the United states? I was thinking of to write a Wanted ad under classifieds but hesitate to do it since some is about objects that I think is likely to be find mainly in the U.S and I´ve got the impression some, or many(?), are reluctant to ship things abroad. Not dealers perhaps but private sellers.
I´m not complaining and I´m not saying how anyone should do or ought to do, I just want to know if there are things involved for the seller I´m not aware of. I´ve shipped things for example _to the States without any problems. Have been dealing a bit in vintage (wrist)watches and have never had any problems, no more work than sending objects in the own country, well.. perhaps three minutes more work or something and have never heard anyone else who had any problems with it either. But that perhaps differs between countries.
So, don´t take it as criticism, just a simple question. We have swords here also:) some that not is available at dealers in other places but the selection would undeniably be larger if it was possible to buy from other countries and continents as well that not usually are available here at the dealers where I live. I´m not looking exclusively for swords from the U.S but could be from other continents as well but many of the swords that are for sale here seems to be in the USA if nothing else is stated(?)
Btw got a thing from Japan for a couple of weeks ago (not sword) it was sent thursday and I had it home monday afternoon at my door. Rather fantastic, And thats from the other side of the world, I live in Scandinavia.
So, any thoughts or facts about this? And as said it´s not only about the United states, what about these things in other countries?
