Well,well...this is quite a weird story.
About 1,5 months back I sold my gothic Albion Munich and its custom DBK-Scabbard to Kisadahida through this forum.
The payment was quick...all good.
However, because I was too stupid to state the price in EURO the bank through which we did the transfer took a big slice of the cake by applying the worst dollar-exchange rate humanly possible, leaving me with about 150€ less than I should have received.
But Kisadahida immediately went ahead and sent me an additional payment through PayPal F&F to balance this out...really a great guy!
However this was just the beginning of a long and frustrating tragedy.
Due to some stupid laws in Germany it is not allowed to export a package with a value of over 1000€ to countries outside of the EU without a special permission and many extra paperwork.
So I went ahead and wrote emails and made calls to the customs, did research on the regulations, tried to find a shipping company and someone with all the licenses to register the export.
At the same time I built a wooden box, so that the sword would arrive safely in the US.
Due to the insanely senseless bureaucratic laws concerning the export it took me close to a month to finally figure everything out, have the sword packaged, the shipping service paid and someone at hand with the necessary licenses.
Then however everything fell to pieces because the shipping company all of a sudden told me that they do not ship "dangerous weapons" such as a sword and thereby the shipping wont be possible...welcome to Germany my friends !
Close to a month of research, filling out customs documents, paying bills for shipping...for nothing.
As I had been told that shipping such "dangerous weapons" to the US via other shipping-companies would cost several hundred Euros, both me and Kisadahida agreed that it probably wouldnt make any sense to continue our efforts.
We cancelled the purchase. I transferred all the money back to Kisadahida and kept my sword.
During all this tedious and chaotic process Kisadahida always was insanely patient and understanding. He would always respond to me in very kind and humble words, every time wishing me Gods blessing.
He is truly a good man and a great buyer which one can rely on no matter what happens.
