So first and foremost: this isn’t a gun, but it’s directly gun related so I think it can go here. After waiting since mid December, I finally got my reproduction South African P83 chest rig in Nutria Brown. I gotta say, it’s easily the best piece of gear I own. Extremely comfortable, easily adjusted, and fits a variety of modern rifle magazines easily thanks to bro g designed for the quite large Vektor R4 35 round mags. The magazine quick extraction straps seem like a gimmick to me, but could be useful in specific circumstances if you train with them. I heard they were designed to make it easier to remove shorter FAL mags under stress. The nutria brown is an extremely attractive color that goes with pretty much any solid or camo base. The quality is top notch, light as a feather but seemingly durable. It also breaths extremely well even in the south Texas gulf coast hellscape, and unlike plate carriers does not impede shouldering a rifle in the least. I got mine from Kommandostore and while it took quite a bit longer than the projected February-March, they were always extremely transparent with the manufacturing delays and I have zero complaints about their communication or customer service in my experience. That’s a big YMMV though as I’ve heard their international shipping can be a nightmare for ordering outside the continental US. All in all, I absolutely love this piece of gear, and it’s not every day I find gear that fits me like a glove, considering I’m all of five foot five.

Nice rig, minus shipping, what does it cost? I got it on pre order so it was discounted to like 120, and dollar shipping. . It’s available to ship now though for like 160. It’s also available in Ranger Green but I had to have the Nutria Brown for the historic factor.

That looks really clean. How does it feel? It looks very comfy. I admit I just have one of these, which isn't too comfy, but I'm not military so it holds up fine to what little abuse I put it through: Condor Recon Chest Rig a.co/d/gzKBKPd

Even loaded up I could probably wear it for a week without getting too uncomfortable. That rig in green was actually the first rig I ever bought, back in 2017. I like the Condor 7 Pocket rig better for comfort though. it's actually really good, particularly for the price. This P83 is better though, of course.

Nice Rig.. I love anything South African. The South African SAS were the semprini back in the day. You gotta respect innovation and skill. My Waxi boots are WAY more comfortable than combat boots here as well. Makes sense, considering I live in a fairly similar climate to South Africa. The extra large toe box and thin but durable leather are a godsend.
