   Probably one of, if not the most overlooked, under estimated areas of sword collecting....the display. I'm the dude on fb that runs the "Sword Mounts and Displays," page, and I design one of a kind, alternative, customized displays for just about any level of budget, or collector. My stuff has been described anywhere from "meh," to "spectacular," and I've been blessed enough to do business with the likes of Longship Armoury, Anthony DeLongis, and many higher end collectors in the community. I find this medium to be untapped, an open concept forum of expression that has the potential to really make a single sword, or a huge collection a truly one of a kind expression of the owner. It's clear from your selection of your work that you don't have a single, one-size-fits-all mount you mass produce. I respect any craftsman willing to take one unique challenges and solve the problems they pose creatively.

I respect any craftsman willing to take one unique challenges and solve the problems they pose creatively. Thanks, Tera. Yes, usually each of my clients come to me with unique needs. It may be one treasured sword that needs a theme, (or not) or it might be a larger collection that requires a multi tiered presentation. And presentation is what it's all about to me. I'm a little obsessive and passionate about making one of a kind, themed or un-themed displays that are not only a safe way of displaying swords, but also tasteful, rustic, sophisticated and stylish. |
