Ive only been acquiring swords for around 2 years now. My first was a hanwei tinker Pearce bastard sword that unfortunately I am unable to get pictures of(not currently at my location. However here are the others. First up is my kaneie budo 2 that is basically my beater sword for kenjutsu. It has been rewrapped by nihonzashi in yellow silk, and the same has been replaced with black same. This thing is what I like to call ol' reliable. I've hit many a wooder dowel with this, the fans at my dojo, and other objects and have yet to roll an edge of see any substantial edge damage. Here are the specs: Tsuka length: 10 inches Nagasa: ~29.5 inches Sorii: ~2cm Pob: ~6 inches

I don't mind it since it's not a traditionally made blade, and it doesn't affect usability too much. Probably should've mentioned that since I knew someone would point it out lol

A guy (or gal)needs to have an "ol' reliable" int the collection methinks. Or at least a beater/practice piece or two. Somethinig I've been without save for bokken and that don't count. I just came across a scratch and dent deal whilst browsing around on another site. 25 bucks for one 20 apiece two or more random selection mystery box. I ordered two (may as well) and am hoping that maybe I get lucky with one of them and pick up a halfway decent blade just for the aforementioned purpose. Maybe I'll get lucky. Forrest Gump said life is like a box of chocolates. Never know what yer gonna get.
Well fo me life is like a SD mystery sword deal. Neve know what ye gonna get. That's a nice looking piece you got there beater blade or no.

photos.app.goo.gl/xCDvsfCKXviJJQzx5 Here's a little project sword of mine I got off WeaponiZed. Hanwei bamboo matt with custom tsukamaki and hyper cafe fittings. Ordered new habaki from seidoshop as current one obviously doesn't fit and is just there temporarily. Once it's done I plan on using this as a dojo sword.

Here's my only wakizashi, a hanwei practical, also bought from WeaponiZed haha. Rewrapped in purple ito. Does the job I only have one wakazishi as well. And one katana. So one complete daisho. My kat is a Shikoto Touchstone and my wak is a Ryujin. Both T 10. I bought the kat from Trueswords and the wak here on SBG. They aren't matched by intention. Different makes and colors. The kat is black nd the wak is red. Got the Black Widow theme going on haha. A matched wak for the Touchstone is available and if its as good as the kat it would have been just fine for around the same price but I wanted to be different. I had a Musashi 1045 katana that I built from a DIY kit which I did all sorts of cool stuff to and gave to my son. I'm really curious about what will come for my SD order. Sometimes a guy can get lucky there but whatever they are I'm sure there will be North of 40 bucks worth. ^0 with tax and shipping. Still worth a draw card. If nothing else I'll make project display pieces with them but I'm hoping I luck out on at least 1 of them and can make a practice blade. An iaito would be fine. I don't want to use my Shikoto for kata. One little slip and I'm in the ER at the very least. Pics of my stuff are on the thread just below yours here. The best pics are on the last post. It has all my chopping hacking and cutting blades. Nice looking wak. Hanwei is supposed to be quality stuff but I have no personal experience with them.

Heres my bamboo mat custom purchased off weaponized. Original habaki had.... issues to say the least. Got minosaka habaki off seido and fitted it by filing and using a hacksaw. accidentally cut a little divot on the mune side, but nothing that really messes up the looks of the sword. This is my other kata sword. Handles very nicely. No idea who did the tsukamaki though photos.app.goo.gl/E5D4ueoZuEKiAL7V6
