Just arrived in the mail a few hours ago. And I couldn't wait to try it. When I first held it something seemed off though. I couldn't put my finger on it though. I tried cutting a milk jug first since they are the easiest. It worked, and I got a few good slices in, but the cuts weren't very clean. I tried a Poland Spring water bottle. It bounced away! I thought it MUST have been my bad form. I tried again and again. Kept bouncing. So I tried with my CS Shamshir. Zing. Clean cut. Huh... Up until now I had only looked at the edge a little. My excitement had gotten the best of me at first. The thing was "sharpened" but it was still hella dull. Sooo, I worked for a bit and put a razor edge on the forward half of the blade and the first eight inches or so on the back near the tip. The thing is like a scalpel now. Now that I knew it was sharp, it seemed to sit differently in my hand. It felt like it wanted to cut lol. I have to say this is a vicious cutter. My first cut after sharpening it. Zing. Whisked right through the bottle and left the bottom half sitting there full of water. Booyah grandma.
I'm in love. In the next few days I will prolly post a few pics of it. It doesn't seem all that unwieldy either, I mean my shamshir feels like a feather after using it, but it isn't a bad weight. It is more of a solid, ready to work weight IMO.
Anywho. Off to chop more stuff and scare the neighbors.
