Can you assist with identifying these 2 knives. They where provided by an anonomous donner - we think originating from either WW1 or WW2 Any assistance would be greately appreciated. (there are 2 images for each knife) Thanks, John

I'm not really an expert so can't say for sure. The second one appears to be full-tang construction and I don't think you saw those until between the wars. My guess (and only a guess) would be WWII vintage.

The second one, without a bolster and riveted scales, is a Mk3. They were introduced during WWII. The last contract that I know of was to Windlass in 1983. There were doubtlessly other contractors and were used later than the 1983. I think some may have been issued during the early part of the 21st century but am not sure of this. If that one was a military issue it should have some stampings to indicate so otherwise it’s just a copy thereof. Sorry I cannot help on the other but my guess is a civilian model made during the last half, possibly a couple of decades earlier, of the 20th century. Original Copy
