Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

A 900 sq ft condo doesn't really mix with a sword collecting hobby I've found. The scabbards are hidden (partially) behind my TV and the boxes are stashed in my closets (in case I ever want to sell any) so I'm honestly maxxed out unless I start gluing them to my ceiling.
Most of these I've gotten since November of last year and a bunch of you will experience deja vu looking at them because they were obtained on the forum. There are no Albions or Valiant Arms, but overall I'm happy with my choices thanks to some research and opinion getting here.
I've been single for about a year now and I'm told I'll probably stay that way if I bring a female into my place without some sort of warning. Has anyone here had an "interesting" reaction bringing an unprepared person into your arsenal?

Ha! Every one of those swords is double parked! So I take it the secret is layering? And no seating or TV or other amenities...do you have a bathroom or bedroom, or has that all been converted to storage space as well? I guess I could put some drywall over my glass patio doors and mount some there, too....!

It’s not my collection, sadly. But, you know, one can admire..
Hmm. Perhaps storage could be found under a transparent floor? Ha.

Yeah, I went to Mr Kelly's thread and spent about an hour perusing his armoury. I'd say he doesn't know the word "restraint" but then he probably has a section in his museum for manacles and handcuffs and all types of medieval torture (and other uses) devices so maybe it's best to say he's a "completist". He knows when enough is enough, though he's yet to get there. My lack of storage space is actually a blessing in disguise. Gives me an excuse to say No.

Please tell us: How exactly do you manage to say No?

Please tell us: How exactly do you manage to say No? Yeah, well ..err, it's more of a hypothetical theory than an actual documented process. If the whole "mass occupies space" and my ratio of "swords vs human living area" doesn't eventually sink in, I guess I could try something extreme... Like get remarried. Or get a lobotomy. Not necessarily in that order.

No way, I'm not cool enough to have something like that. Just some google searching. But if I did, I wouldn't feel so bad for sitting on the bowl for 15 minutes scrolling on my phone.

He he oh for sure, i thought if it was real it would be cool to have one of the hilts of a sword activate the flushing function.
It kind of looks real though for you can see the reflection in the wall tiles.

imgur.com/gallery/AUSerZ6Current state of the collection. Getting close to completion. I stress whenever I think about getting a new one because there's no place to put it and I'll have to sell something to make room, so only absolute must haves at this point.

Did someone mention "layering"...? Seriously though, take it from an old hand at fitting gobs of swords in small living spaces--get one of these: www.target.com/p/3-tier-wide-wire-shelving-black-brightroom-8482/-/A-83500072You give up display aesthetics, but, standing them vertically, I can fit from at least 20 to over 40 swords in each of these puppies, depending how simple or complex the hilts. That's that many in 36 inches by 18 inches of space--a mere 4.5 square feet! :p

Interesting rack, we actually have some of these at work. Maybe I'll borrow one to bring home and test it out. Thanks for the idea!
