First of all, looks really good. Back when it was all about guns for me, I bought a little kit for filling all the small print, company name and address, caliber, model number etc. with gold. Kit came with 2 small bottles of the gold powder and silver, a bottle of the pre cleaner and a bottle of the sealer. It works great and pretty easy to use and might work well on the scrollwork that is just too fine to paint. Sorry I can't remember the name of the kit but it will be easy to find -- it looked really sharp and worked well on tiny lettering or markings - John

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

I did something similar to my Windlass Maldon. Too much with the all black hilt. Attachments:

Yeah, sometimes they need just a little something to spark the interest. Looks much better.

Wonder if it would stay on the stainless steel hilt pieces? Can give it a try and see. Thanks It certainly should....it is a trick I was told about to help keep rust from developing in the recesses of chromed bolts with allen head or torx on a motorcycle. Never wound up doing it on my Harley...but should have.
