One just arrived. My first time inspecting it, I bought it used on SBG from a member. It's nicer than I expected. First impressions - It's light and handles well.
- The turned horn grip with wire wrap is superb.
- The turk heads in the grip are a plus.
- The grip isn't too tight as I expected after reading Uhlan's review. It fits my hand pretty nicely. I'm 6' tall and have medium sized hands.
- The fabrication of it is really good. Which I didn't expect to see from an old Windlass sword.
- I thought it would be like the Windlass Munich "cut and thrust" Town Guard. Pretty - but a crowbar.
- Not this one. This one handles like a sword.

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

Looks very nice! If it handles well, you got a really good one there! Get a guitar wall hanger and display it proudly!

Youtube, google drive, etc, all downgraded the resolution. Original clip was 253 megs. They all downgraded it. So you're not seeing it as pretty as it is. Vid's are out of focus.
Trust me on this one. It's pretty. And it handles well. I'm keeping this one.

Try now. Vid was double posted, one of them consequently deleted. Should be fixed now.

Only gripe I have is I don't have a scabbard that'll fit it very well.
If I take it to the Games, which I might, then I'll peace tie is anyway, which I can do with one of my existing scabbards. That's the only gripe though. It's nicer than any Windlass I've handled. So far.
