Both you and Purna have outdone yourselves with this pair! I love all the intricate details, and the bluing came out very nice (although I personally prefer the contrast between the dark hilt and bright blade). I think these really show how much expertise Purna has with khukuris.

Impressive khukuri daisho! The smaller one (still large in khukuri standard) seems to be so light and nimble. The XL one really takes the cake as the most attractive khukuri I've seen, and the size and weight seem perfect. I prefer the copper inlay and the rose pommel carving on the larger one, too! Great exposition, brother!

SOOO much chopping power for the weight (1lb) regarding the smaller version. Hard to imagine a vamp surviving without ones head, but I'd imagine you would have to do your homework in vampire disposal (maybe place severed head in bucket of holy water).

Very nice! If somebody sarcastically ask “Are vampires a problem in your town?” You should reply “not anymore, semprini”.

A pair of elegant weapons to be sure, these have got to be the most beautiful khukuris I have ever seen. Purna does such amazing work bringing your dreams to life that I sometimes feel we lose sight of the fact that his steel is entirely handmade and is truly excellent quality. He makes steel that is crafted and tempered to kill. If a vampire should stalk you, one of these will send them to hell!

How do you do this ? Every time I think you made new masterpiece designs, you top them up with new absolute masterpieces again ! (And two at the same time ! ) They got to be the most elegant and beautiful khukuris I've ever seen ! 😍

It makes me happy that people have visions such as these and then go about bringing them to life. Amazing job.

From appearance to the specs, these must be the nicest kukris I ever saw. I’m running out of superlatives to describe the awesomeness. I think I like the smaller one even more than the bigger one.

Nice! My very first thought was that in Stoker's book, Dracula is killed by kukri.

You've outdone yourself again Brother Nate, I am such a huge kukri fan and these are amazing, I personally am not a blued blade fan but from what you've done to them they came out amazing.

By the way, if I recall correctly, along with beheading a vampire, you are supposed to also stake the torso through the heart with wood, and then stuff the mouth with garlic, just to make sure. That is how Van Helsing treated Lucy Westenra after she was turned by Dracula.
However, in the case of Dracula himself, his body turned to dust or ash, so this was unnecessary.

Damn... Those are absolutely killer! I'm not usually a fan of black blades, but my god those look amazing. The all black color scheme, combined with the svelte, deadly lines just hits me somewhere in the primal part of my brain.
I tip my iron reinforced tricorner hat to you sir.

A beautiful set indeed. I took special note of those because they remind me of the one that I have in the making as I wanted something different. I didn’t think of it until I saw your videos and now I have concern about the increased possibility of torqueing when delivering a cut. Mine will not have the eye appeal of yours as it will be a working tool. The blade will be 13”, unpolished and the grip bare wood. It should weigh just under 600 g.

Why are you concerned it would torque in the hand? It ruins the cut.

I want to say up front that I do not consider myself an expert and hope my concern is not called for as mine is paid for less shipping from Miami and customs. I have found torqueing present with kukris, about the only complaint that I have. I am not sure why this is but my theory can be best explained by relating it to leverage. The longer the lever the easier the resulting work. The illustration is crude but perhaps will show my point. The heavy black line represents the centre line of the grip and blade. One drawing is more extreme than the other. The horizontal red line represents the centre line of the grip. The vertical red line represents the distance the edge of the blade is from the centre line of the gripe. The more pronounced the curve and/or blade length the more leverage occurs shown by a longer line. I’m still working on the issue but that’s the best I’ve come up with so far. I hope that I have no problems, that remains to be seen. I can trace that design back to the 18th century and it was probably around before then. I wanted something different and this will surely give me something to play with. I'll give a review after I've had a chance to play with mine.

Those are the nicest kukri I've ever seen. That dark color matched with the gold is regal. It's cool he used/you designed it with that style of blade, I don't see them as often as I feel I should
