Hopefully you folk will dodge the weather. We are doing our annual in RI this weekend and Saturday is definitely looking damp. One can hope the skies wring out overnight and that the weekend is nice for all.
Cheers
Hotspur; Sunday is looking good, a little shower to keep the midday dust down

Saturday was a total wash out...rained all frellin' day...so we did not get to do any demos. Sunday was better...the rain had stopped the night before...sun came out. Here are a few random shots from the event......most of the swords on the display are original / antique pieces dating from 1490 to WW II. Most of the repros are mine, but I do have a few of my antiques up there. here goes..... the main set-up... me and a patron...think he was trying to be one of the bear dudes from "The 13th Warrior" me wife ask us to show our best side...I thought she said back side... patron, me and guilde member / bladesmith Will Goodwin some of guild member - Gary Hall's antique basket-hilts ...Gary is seated... now just random views.... Yup, we had rain both days and some sunshine Sunday. We had a lot of discussion going on Saturday and we forgot to look up. One pop-up had gathered a large pond and collapsed as we realized there was a lot of water up there. That was the signal to pack up that table right quick. We had some sun the next day but it ended wet as well. There are a small lot of pictures up in A&M elsewhere.
The militia re-enactors and local native tribe cancelled. No spirit of adventure there I guess.
Cheers
Hotspur; I must go unload now

15th cent looks nice. Probably a stupid question, but what's the blur under your hood? Also... you mentioned you can really thrust with the 15th cent longsword? Sorry for asking this so many times, but I just want to know what you think of it.

Sorry for asking this so many times, but I just want to know what you think of it. the blur is my fencing mask (had to cover it up---not period) Again....I really like the 15th c. longsword ....it surpassed my expectations from the start.
