need help fixing my Poamel on my deepeeka hand and a half spadona I got from KOA. The Palmel came bent with a nut on the end of the tang. I'm assuming the nut is either so tight that the Palmer won't budge or that adhesive from the handle is keeping me from straighten it out. The cross guard is loose as well but since I oiled it it don't rattle anymore so I'm not too worried about that. Basically I'm wondering how I would go about getting this nut off without ruining it or if I will just have to get a new nut machined? And how easy it would be to get the Palmel strate again.

It is hard to give a specific remedy without actually seeing the sword, but for a few ideas that may work. • If received that way and not used notify KoA. • Brace the sword and try tapping with a mallet. However this risks separating the tang if a rat tail with a bad weld. • If epoxied heat may weaken the bond. • Possibly use a padded vice. • As for the loose guard a shim and/or Loctite or epoxy, but remove the oil first.
