Hi all, this is a personal item for sale, not retail stock.
Because my profile has M+V status, I'm listing in the M+V Marketplace per Paul's (Forum Admin) instructions.
Purchased from Kult of Athena in July '21. Had it sent to Valiant Armoury for a custom scabbard. I requested a 'woodsy/fantasy Ranger' (a la Strider) color scheme to match the sword. Sonny and Zach nailed it.
This is the nicest thing I've ever owned, but I want to own even nicer things some day, so selling off a bunch of stuff to invest in my business.
One-and-only price drop 1/21/22:
-SOLD-
$1500
$1650 shipped to lower 48 US, PayPal F+F or add 3%.
I will include insurance, signature confirmation, etc. (too many tall boxes going missing these days).
Atrim XVIa.7
Blade: 34"
Overall: 44"
Grip: 8"
COP: 4.5"
Guard width: 7.5"
Scabbard notes:
Antiqued buckles to match sword aesthetic.
Custom green color (more 'woodsy'). Sonny told me they antiqued it with brown rather than black to achieve that color.
All told, after shipping, taxes, etc. I paid $1780.
Excellent condition. Rock solid.
Minor blemishes:
-Cut a few carboard tubes, miniscule surface scuffs/scratches near cutting section (couldn't capture in pics).
-Slight cosmetic 'lifting' of the skived seam on the leather grip lap near one of the central risers.
-One of the really cool aspects of this piece is there are some grind 'imperfections' in the tip section. The grind or polish is not 100% perfect/symmetrical in this small area, and I think this adds to the character and value of this piece. It's like you can see Mr. Trim's hand work on the blade.

In communicating with Gus about this piece, he told me:
-it's on the longer end of the spectrum for his bastard swords,
-on the shorter end of the spectrum for longswords
So, you can think of it as a long bastard sword, or a compact longsword.
Either way, the thing handles like a lightsaber, but has presence and authority. Un-freakin-believable.
