It's a very large handmade curved knife. The handle is made of some type of horn. It measures 17" extended. There is no maker marks on it anywhere. Thank you

I am no expert, but to my eye, it looks like a Spanish Goucho knife, just huge.

I am no expert, but to my eye, it looks like a Spanish Goucho knife, just huge. I thought that as well, but that curve (like a sickle) makes me wonder because you are giving up much stabbing ability, something I would not think a classic navaja would do.

I can’t speak to the age, but it’s called a saca tripas. That looks like a nice example, too. Never heard of that one. Googled it and the examples look like op’s knife. Pretty cool.

The locking system on this one looks a bit older. There should be a ring to pull the lock. You could put a split keychain ring as a placeholder. Given the lock and patina, I’d guess first half of the 1900s, but I’m not really an expert. Could be as old as the 1880s or as new as the 1980s. But, I’m sticking to my early 1900s guess until a real expert corrects me.
