... the Falcata is double edged for half of it's blade length, the Kopis is not. I don't think I'd ever picked up on that. Interesting. Looks like this is gonna be a nice little sword.

Looking good, Eric. I am curious to how the taper was applied to both the tang and blade spine here. What you are seeing is the top section is also sharp for half of its blade length, Purna cut himself on the top section while he was working with the blade.

I love the kukri scabbard on the falcata blade. It looks so majestic.

I think it's safe to say that Purna is the premier source for Falcata's at this point. I have more boxes I'd like to check off first but when I get to the point where I need to scratch the Falcata itch I know where to go.

That's a good looking sword. I hope it handles as well as it looks. Let us know once you have it in hand.

I have had this in my hands for a week, but haven't had the time to really sit down and write anything on it. What I can tell you is Purna is the master of Falcata/Kopis/Kukri style blades. If you want something in those 3 ranges you are going to get a master crafted blade. I've owned 3 versions of Falcata/Kopis and every single one of them is better than the last one made. This one is a little heavier than my last one, but it doesn't feel it. I highly recommend him for a Falcata or Kopis.

My first and only kopis he made for me is excellent, but the grip is a bit large and doesn't lock my hand in. Has the proportion improved?

Yes the grip lock is great and he has improved on understanding outside length of grip and inside length of grip.

Yes the grip lock is great and he has improved on understanding outside length of grip and inside length of grip. That's good to hear. In fairness to him, I didn't provide him with measurements the first time around. I would like another kopis in the future, but the other one will need a new home first. Out of curiosity, what is the inside length of the grip of your new kopis?
