Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

Just getting opinions. I'll probably leave them in the scabbards, but it looks more impressive with the bare blades Attachments:

looks better without scabbards
maybe you could add another rack below to hold the scabbards vertical underneath?

Both look great. I’m a blades showing kinda guy, though.

I prefer in scabbards for mine, but that's at least partially to protect the blades from cat fur and the eternal dust living near the desert.
Nice collection.

looks better without scabbards maybe you could add another rack below to hold the scabbards vertical underneath? That may be the most evil suggestion I ever heard. You guys are such enablers. The ONLY thing keeping from buying more swords is the fact I have no place to put them. I ordered a stand that holds two (TWO!) katanas for the two I have and my other swords are on the wall with no rack. I'm done. If I got another rack...the temptation to put scabbards WITH swords still in them would be overwhelming. Bad idea!

Did this just as a size comparison... sent it to a buddy who thought it was hilarious, so figured I'd share it. Attachments:

I'm with the crowd. No scabbards.
I like the rack!

I keep everything in scabbard. Aesthetics be damned, I have safety concerns. Double-edge swords always look odd displayed horizontally, but work with what you've got. I have two on a horizontal rack, myself, but a majority of what I own is single-edge, so horizontal works better. I used to keep some stuff vertical, on individual plaques, and those I kept out of their scabbards because gravity took them off, anyway...but overall I prefer to keep my blades and everything around them protected from each other. Have we covered what you've got in there?

I see familiar swords! If you keep buying them from me, eventually an entire picture will be ones I used to own.

Actually, a full 10 of those came from SBG members, so you're not the only one here looking at their previously owned property!
