Albion Swords will be at SoCal Swordfight (see link) in February 2022 held this year in Long Beach. I will be attending and looking to buy as usual. socalswordfight.com/For established SBG members in good standing I would be happy to act as an intermediary again and help you pick up an Albion with no wait and get it to you. I have done this in the past for several members and one SBG member did this for me last year with the Albion display at CombatCon in Las Vegas (thank you alientude). I will post photos of that is available on display the morning of the event. If there is something you want... I will try to get you real time photos of the exact sword. 1) If you tell me you want something, I will have it put on hold long enough for you to make a funds transfer. I will then purchase it for you on receipt of Zelle of Ebay friends/family funds for the purchase price. I highly recommend Zelle as I get a text within seconds of you completing the transfer. 2) I do this with the caveat that we leave the sword on display at the Albion table for the duration of the show so they can have a successful marketing event. The swords WILL be handled but inspected by Mike Sigman before I take them to ensure they are 100% up to par for delivery. In the past with swords I have bought, Mike puts them aside in the back of the booth and only lets people specifically asking about a particular model see/handle them under his or his wife's supervision.3) Once packaging and shipping costs are determined and transferred to me I will have them securely boxed and shipped via the common carrier of your choice with tracking, direct signature and full insurance required. I do this to help the SBG community. Please do not waste my time if you don't have the funds or don't want to buy. Cheers! Steve

Interesting. Might have to sell off a few rifles for fun funds.

Ah, a fellow lord with a generous nature! I might just be messaging you on this, my friend, if you could consider me on "good" standing, of course. To the entity formerly known as Brother Nathaniel I offer my protection and hospitality!

I am assuming that is the Huskarl that now resides with me. Nice to see it before it's capture. lol And I just noticed the Seax on the table. Haven't seen one outside the Albion website.

The booth looks almost identical to the one I saw at Combat Con. I might be going to this event for one day, as well.

Very nice of you to offer this! I might be interested in something myself. I haven't posted too often around here, but I wonder if I might qualify for your trust :)? Been on the forum for almost a decade, and contributed a few reviews and sales in the past

Been on the forum for almost a decade, and contributed a few reviews and sales in the past To be honest, the transaction I have described is risk free to me other than the sweat equity collecting the info texting back and forth. I will only buy a sword when the SBG member has sent me the funds via Zelle or PayPal F&F.

Nice, if A/A and Sterling armory have booths I might implore your services, if its not too inconvenient for you to check.

I spent a bit of time talking with the owners about historical swords they have handled. Nice guys and yes I would be willing to help you out there too. I will make a point to photograph their display as well.

Did you have an opportunity (and inclination) to handle all of the models on display at the Albion booth last year? If so, does anything stand out as particularly noteworthy? It looks like there is an Archduke in one of your photos, and I am currently waiting for Albion to make me one (it will be a while though). I'm also curious about their seax offerings.

While I am very experienced with Japanese/Japanese style katana used for both kata and tameshigiri I am sorry but I do not feel qualified to comment on Euro sword handling and to be honest, I have not handled any great swords. I think that alientude has handled them and is in a far batter position to offer accurate commentary.

I'll be going to this event also, so if you'd like my (inexpert, quick and dirty) opinion on a specific Albion sword, feel free to ask.

I'll see what they have and what I can do for you. The Count is the same blade as the Steward, which I have and will be posting a review of in the next several months. For the Prince, here's my review:

I cannot really add anymore than what alientude commented on concerning the Prince since he bought that from me I believe. I have owned the Lancaster and it was a well balanced and fast sword. i sold it earlier this year on this forum I believe or on My Armory. Only reason I sold it was that I am more into Type XVIII and falchion blades now. I was reluctant to sell it since it was so well balanced. I still own a Burgundian. it is a fantastic sword in terms of handling and balance. I also own a Kingmaker and they are comparable with the Kingmaker having a slight edge. You cannot go wrong with the Burgundian, Prince or Lancaster in my opinion.

I asked Arms & Armor and they said it doesn't look like they'll be there in 2022.
