Very soon I will have multiple simultaneous ji projects going on.
I am still collecting the requisite materials, but things seem to be coming together nicely. I have multiple LK Chen Han ji variations I am working on, and an older style bronze/copper alloy ji as well.
Ka-Kit Cheung (KK) has very generously helped facilitate this endeavor, and I will do me best to come up with a series of ji in different configurations worthy such kindness.
I will provide more details once I am able to start working in earnest, but I must say that this project(s) makes me very excited. The ge and ji are right at the top of my list of favorite polearms. The Han Ji offered by LK Chen are more agile and dynamic than I expected them to be.

My current plans include:
1.: LK Chen Han ji (Battalion/short version) mounted on a 7-8 foot (2.33-2.67 meters) hickory haft, with an oval cross-section. Blue and red geometric painting scheme, cord-wrapped leather at transition of pommel cap to haft (risers and dye color TBD). Other decorative elements TBD.
2.: LK Chen Han ji (Combat/long version) mounted on a hickory haft of around 6 feet (1.9 meters), with a rectangular cross-section. The planned painting scheme will include a blue background with stylized horse and cloud (and possibly also lightning) elements of red, white, and gold. A cord-wrapped leather transition at the junction point between the pommel cap and haft (risers and dye color TBD). Other decorative elements may include horse hair tassels near the weapon's head.
3.: LK Chen Han ji (Combat/long version) mounted on....
