Hi, guys I have come to the possession of a small sword (63cm), judging by the state of the blade and the pommel - fairly old. I was wondering if someone can help me identify the type and the manufacrturer, if possible, of the sword. Thanks!

Welcome! While that type of sword is outside my area of focus, we have many knowledgable folks here. Hopefully someone can help you out. I always enjoy these sorts of posts, it is exciting for everyone to learn about pieces people find.

I have no idea what this is, as later-era (1800 to modern) swords are not a thing I'm really into, typically, but this one is certainly unlike any I can recall seeing previously. I'm particularly confused/intrigued by the false edge and double fuller.
One of the best people to help with this has just left us, it seems, and I'm not sure the others still post, never mind check in on this subforum. Maybe cross-post to the Renaissance/Military subforum for better visibility by more informed parties.

Yes, double fuller was the first feature I was trying to identify it - found nothing that matches it exactly.

I was wondering if this is a european hussars sabre? I found a lot of features similar to what were used in them.

With the small size....Could this be some sort of cadet sword...? Just a guess here. Andy

No markings on the ricasso at all?
Kinda of looks like a Cutlass.

No, no markings and I did think about it being either a cutlass or an artillery sword - cutlass is closer, I found some references to double fuller design for the Russian navy swords.
