I was wondering if anyone has any insight into this smith's blades? I was looking at purchasing one, but haven't heard too many pros or cons on them. As always, any info is appreciated (even if ignored )

I own one. Nothing has been produced in years. The rapiers often have nice lines and are somewhat desirable. I would tend to view them as high end non-contact theatrical and costume pieces. American Fencers Supply www.amfence.com was still listing a small stock of some swords. While some of the swords are impressive looking at first glance, there is no distal taper whatsoever and although decent steel, better left unused and appreciated as artifacts of the past IN the following picture, mine is second from the left, a type XIV look to the overall. These have a very slender and threaded tang but are quite strong. This one had been used quite hard by the previous owner. I use it as an example of reproductions from the past. There is a great variety of swords that were made and most have survived. He designed the swords for the film Ladyhawke and others. The tang in the middle here belongs to the Oscar. This sword has survived things like pounding mail and plate on a side of beef, as well as beeing a favored sword of someone that was starting out a few decades ago. Despite its very flat and basic geometry, it doesn't exactly handle like a boat anchor. It is a handy sword for what it is. I would still suggest relegating any you might come across to costume and non-contact use. Cheers Hotspur; the manufacturer name is out there somewhere (SFI for sure), Oscar just designed them

I think that Nathan Robinson - owner of myArmoury.com has a couple of Kolombatovic pieces in his collection. check the "Collection" section there to see his take on them.
