Oooooh. Absolutely love the ancient, well used aesthetic that the browning brings to the sword. That sheath is masterfully done too, it looks aged and well worn like the sword.

Nice. The work steps seem right to me. What did you pay for the bare blade? You got some blade dimensions for us? Some day, I'll try to build a messer, too!

That looks outstanding! I love the subtle tapering as the grip moves towards the blade, bet that gives a really secure hold when handling.
I had no idea Landsknecht Emporium even sold bare blades- was that something you had to request from them custom?

Thanks everyone!
I think Landsknecht charged me about 150 USD, honestly I don't exactly recall, it was 4+ years ago, shortly after they started up. I contacted them with the special request.
As for dimensions we have 26.5" BL, 37" OAL, balances about 2" below the guard. @legacy thanks for the thoughts on the scabbard. While I'm proud of the sword build, the scabbard was my first go at that method. It protects the sword and handlers adequately but is actually quite rough, has some warp and a *tight* fit. Good enough I say!
