Im looking at getting some rarer pole-arm types reproduced Either in steel for HEMA( and related) including but not limited to My own variations of Bolognese ROnca/Bill work-- Teaching/Instruction as well as general training( including alternative applications/technique)--- and also for more general Living History Interpretation tools and reenactment pieces-- if steel these first ones will not be Live edge(sharp) and so need little of the geometry Forging/grinding etc. for that and do not need a High finish- im also consider synthetic (the Heads only)-- Ive already reached out to one well known source for the synthetic option ,--but he's up in the air at the moment as to whether he can tackle some of these in the near future.
so here are from rare and unique "Scorpions" ( yet there are at least 5- sub variants known) of these cool and abstract pieces here are two examples (to start) that Ive been researching and designing from( on and off for several years) a Glaive or two( or falcione as many Italian museum sources still label them) also a quite rare form of essentially "Poll-mace" (the R.A 'T.O.L' calls it a" Lever-MAce")or some would categorize it a "Sprinckyl" as the 16th english did( and in fact this piece is believed to be english.)
In an effort to budget and effective modify production methods I was thinking of possibly having these Plasma Cut/fabricated in one main Heady (minus the Mace) at least not in one whole piece for that one;- and Use a modified extended tang instead with Side Pins of a true socket as on the originals - but then having a sorta Faux socket fabricatd and maybe TIG welded( or similar) to the base of the head with separate langets applied---there are several viable alternatives that could be possible and Ive been mulling over some of these for a good while; esp. as I was planning on some of these for projects i was gonna has made for me-to me design and specs. to offer commercially ( as part of my soon/hope to be revamped business)
so here we go
