I wasn't sure where to put this, and in a way it is kind of feedback about myself, so I decided to put it here.
I know that I'm fairly new here, and people will likely view my recent posts and/or threads to see if I am legit.
I've only registered this month, because I only recently got into collecting "real" swords. Right now I'm kind of obsessed with Albions.
I've collected SLOs my whole life (41 years). I'm also very satisfied with my firearms collection, which is why I've stared acquiring swords. When I was a child, my grandfather who was a master fabricator and owned a welding business asked me what I would like to make in his shop. I made swords. If you want to call them that, anyway.
I do have an EBAY account (since 2002) with the user name bwduty605 where my nearly 1000 100% positive feedback can be found. I haven't used it much since I got hooked on Amazon Prime. I also linked my Facebook in my bio. My life pretty much revolves around my two German Shepherds and working seven days every week.
I currently have three Albions in my possession. A Ringeck, a Thegn, and a Gaddhjalt. I also have two on order (and fully paid off) which I am very excited about since I customized them in some ways that I don't often see. A Knight (ordered 3/21) with a blackened and dark brown dyed hilt, and a Yeoman (ordered 5/21) with an antiqued and oxblood dyed hilt. The only other "real" sword that I have is a Cold Steel Hand and a Half (not the MAA edition) which I felt the need to add to my collection because it is pretty darn nice for the low cost. Oh, I also have an Arms and Armor Danish axe (the type "M" one) on order.
I'm in the position to buy one or two more at this point. As my current pieces would suggest, I am mostly interested in European swords that exhibit simple, elegent beauty. I'm kind of wanting my next one to be a different color hilt such as blue or green or even light brown. All of my current ones are black or dark brown, except the previously mentioned oxblood on the Yeoman that is on order.
Anyway, I've already had the privilege of PMing a couple amazing people here and part of me hopes to perhaps make a couple of friends. The vast majority of you seem highly intelligent, and I've seen some awesome threads. The grammar and spelling alone are refreshing to see, since those things seem to be a dying art in our society.
In short, thank you for having me and I hope to actually become a part of the community! My total posts will likely remain pretty low. I'm definitely an introvert.
