Here's another video of some impact testing with a sling. In a couple of my previous videos I was throwing some pretty big stones, and using hard boiled eggs (specifically the cracking of them) as an impact indicator. In this video I start with a large stone but quickly switch off to smaller ones. And the impact indicator is quite a bit stronger than an egg.

So dumb question. How accurate are you? I mean, can you hit a 2l bottle at a given distance? I ask because me and slings go waaaaaayyyyyy back, and my accuracy is at best comical. (that barn I aim at is SAFE)

I've got my good days and bad days. I'm definitely no sniper with a sling, but I can put a projectile in the general area where I want (at least a good part of the time). So yes, I could hit a 2 liter bottle, but it might take me number of throws before I got it. Here's a pretty good gauge to give you an idea. This is a target slinging video I posted earlier this year. I wasn't quite at my absolute best, but this was still a pretty good day for me. 24 throws unedited. The target is just a hair off a standard balearic size, 4' X 4' with a 19" circle (diana) in the center. I also have an old cooking pot bolted in the center, but that's just there as a noise maker for a really good hit. Distance is about 16 meters.
