My darling girlfriend Beatrice has finished making a sheath for one of my projects. She used a double thickness of soft leather for the sheath itself, sewn with waxed linen thread. She also made and added a cute little set of charms out of polymer clay, which is an oven setting hand moldable plastic. Here is the sheath; And the charms. They are a small anvil bead, and a blacksmiths hammer bead; Here is the popper that makes the "snap" part of the sheath; The part that holds the blade; The knife alongside the sheath; And the artist herself! ;D

Very nice sheath. The charms are great. ;D I suppose the knife is okay, too. So, do tell, what ever did you have to do to land HER??

Thanks guys! Originally the anvil and hammer were actually going to be hung from the handle of another knife I made, but we figured they would be a pain mounted so. Hence they now go on the sheath.
In answer to your question, Random, she sort of plucked me out of the gutter and now I'm stuck with her ;D .

I wanted a pair of tongs as well but they would have been a little too delicate.

Great work. You're lucky to have someone that can do leather and a top notch job too. The charms look perfect right where they are. Karma to Beatrice when and if she joins. Lucky man, pretty girl. Good combination.

Fantastic work! I take it the beads were made from Sculpey (or similar)? I've been having quite a lot of fun with the stuff myself, lately.
+1

I'm not sure exactly. Its just called polymer clay, far as I know. Its probably the same stuff really anyhow.
