I have searched but cannot find much info. Wanting to know any thoughts on these blades as am considering purchasing, only a couple of places that I could find here in Australia still has stock. I do not want an actual kukri,I have the cutlass machete already and being much shorter was thinking the kukri style would be good for more actual general purpose use around the place.

I have the non-plus version, which doesn't have the half-guard. I have used it to take down small trees and such, saplings, and other work. I think it is tough to beat it for a modern Khukuri-type piece. I am not really sure what I would recommend over it for a modern rendition. I would say my MK ULTRA might beat it but that's really more of a fighter. The bottom one. That's a good statement as to it's use and toughness. I am liking the finger guard aspect vs the standard.

All good. Machete version is for general beater, cheap enough that won't bother if scuffed and can give it sharpening with not a great deal of care compared to more expensive blades.
Edited the title too, sorry for confusion.

I have the Royal Kukri Machete, the big brother of the Plus. I like it better than my real kukris. Added grip band of course. But I have no garden, so I can't say much about macheteing with it. It's cheap enough to try it just for fun.
