Please allow me to introduce myself , I'm a man of not so much wealth and taste.... To paraphrase a famous song.
New here and new to swords as well. I've a been a member for a short while and just now stumbled upon the introduction thread.... So much for my navigation skills of the forum....Oops.
In any event... I enjoy being outdoors whenever possible , usually camping , hiking or hunting. Nothing like a meal over a campfire , follow by some whiskey. That said...
A book and coffee is always enjoyable.
I have enjoyed what I have read and taken part in so far of the forum... And look forward to learning more , adding what I can , as well as getting my first ( but not my last ) sword. Just ordered my first one.... Thanks for having me. Andy

You are welcome here my camping, hiking, hunting friend. A good book and coffee is always enjoyable. Certainly whiskey is. You seem to have affable tastes. Would that be the Stones you quoted there, followed by Led Zeppelin in your signature? I think you'll do well here.

Thank you fellas. My good friend Doc Brown passed away 2 years ago... But I cherish the memories of him , and think of him every time I shoot this rifle. ( Which is very often... ) Andy

Thank you Sir. The best of the collection may be the strats. They usually get the most "wow" from people when I play. Both of them were made on the cheap - one in China, another in Mexico. Both were purchased $300 or so. I've had offers for both of them over $1,000 apiece, but of course I won't sell them. I prefer to play them. And hear people go WOW when I bring one out. I'll post pics of them sometime, but this is a swords board, not a guitar board. If you want to know the Holy Grail of Strat's that I've been trying to get for over a decade, it's this one. The Fender Firestorm. The Holy Grail. They only made it for a couple of years in the late 80's, and the guy who knew how to make them has passed away. Fender Custom shop told me they would "attempt" to recreate it for a 4,000 surcharge on top of the price of the guitar, but with no guarantee they could do it. I had to decline. This one. This is very rare. Both of my other strats have a resemblance - maybe that's why I get so much WOW when I bring them out.

@loe Wow...Yeah I can see the why of the Wow , with those two strats. Guitars are something...you tell one person from another with their style of playing and lot of your personality gets put out there when you play.
A well practiced guitar player will make a "cheap" guitar sound good... A not so well practiced guitar can make a expensive guitar sound bad.
I also tell people the key to sounding good...is practice. Which takes time and effort...but well worth it in the end. Andy
