As the title says i'm looking for a spot to buy a shield from, mostly interested in medieval. KOA has been out for over a year now and it really feels like they are just not going to get any in so looking for recommendations. Would be used for 90% wall hanging and mostly costume but would need to look the part of a real shield in the very least aka straps etc. Ty in advance.

My friend Jake actually knows someone who happens to make custom shields and I can put you in touch with him if you’d like? He made one for him as a gift and he’s especially pleased with the result. If you want I can put you in touch with him? At the very least he can send you some comparison pictures of his works to see if it suits your needs

I can point you to a custom SCA shield maker whose product is about as period as you will find. Contacted him Sir Thorfinn but alas he no longer makes shields. So anyone else have any suggestions? |

Search "templar shield" on Ebay, and you will find a lot, starting from $89. Then you can go for some round shields. |

I have the windlass Rotella. I been enjoying it a lot. It is made that it would be easy to replace the straps if you ever wanted to as well.

I've alwyas wanted one, bht I hear they are super heavy and it makes me wonder if I would be better off buying tools to make a couple |
