I like the guard on that one. Nice stout looking blade too.

"This cutlass be light n' strong, perfect fer stage combat." It does bear a good resemblance of examples seen in 'Boarders Away' and Neuman's 'Swords and Blades' " Battle Ready Sword ready fer sword fighting • 24 inch Heat Tempered Harden Blade, Unsharped" Be prepared for sharpening. As it looks like it starts with thin stock, distal will make it handy and a good bottle cutter once sharpened. A review beyond "yipee" would probably be helpful. I will say that it probably is coming from the same Indian forge doing a number of historical swords and I now and on a whim, have a couple of them. The Rose 1803 has found favor here from myself and others and I am not terribly disappointed with the smallsword, so this cutlass is probably worth looking at in the same vein. There are a couple of smallswords left. Jesse Blakely uses the hilts for sparing epee blades. www.ebay.com/itm/184817198052Other's from the same (I believe) source including a couple of other cutlasses. www.ebay.com/sch/paint2/m.html?Cheers GC

Hilt looks a little round and straight for me but I know that's not uncommon. Definitely a cutlass-lover's cutlass, good find.

The shell guard resemble Darkwood Armory's cutlass hilt very much.

I came across those while looking for a cuttoe/hunting sword.
