The post predates the slander policy.... however if in the future you run across something you feel is inappropriate, the appropriate thing to do would be to pm the senior mods, global mod, or the administrator, and allow them to administer policy.... I think you'll agree that vigilante moderating causes more problems than it cures... Marc, your response was not an appropriate response from a moderator. In fact, it was just rude. An appropriate response from you would have been, "Your concern is noted, thank you for pointing this out to me, we'll see what we can do to correct it." Mind you, I made no mistake... I was just pointing out the obvious. It's not like the title of the thread doesn't clearly indicate what the thread is about. Any moderator worth his salt would have found this and removed it long before I left my mark. On the rude note, talking to someone as if they are a child is extremely insulting and that's exactly what you did to me, whether you realize it or not. I now have no respect for you, and that's really disappointing. May I make an observation? Many of us are here to spend money at the SBG store. I'm sure that Mr. Southren would be pleased that a mod is pissing on his potential customers...If you felt spoke to as a child , that is YOUR issue , not mine. It is not your job nor within YOUR authority or MINE to decide what is in violation of policy. That is the job of Admin, and frankly as a member , NOT a moderator I find you or anyone judging content to be distateful... Not only does it overstep your bounds, it also is the way that ARGUMENTS start.... This is a discussion forum , and it is not a place to kowtow to "potential customers", and certainly noone is going to be held hostage by someones potential custom.... I suggest brushing up on the hostility policy as well....

Or did you just mean me? Obviously you did not mean me, as this is NOT my section. Did you mean the SENIOR mod that already posted on this thread? Fact is this thread PREDATES the slander policy, and I really don't think that you or I have the authority to go around hunting up old topics and passing judgement on them... IF THE MODS CHOOSE to remove it or not is their own discretion. AND I KNOW FOR SURE THAT YOU HAVE OVERSTEPPED YOURSELF BY PASSING JUDGEMENT ON THE ENTIRE SBG STAFF. I don't give a DAMN if you have any respect for me.... but you WILL respect the rules of this forum. I'd like to point out that my simple post was not rude at all , unlike your HOSTILE, and AGRESSIVE response.

I'm not going to respond to you anymore. You no longer have any relevance in my eyes and any hope I had of patching up with you is gone because you're apparently too... arrogant... to step outside of your own shoes and see the receiving end of your words. I harbor no hostility in my words, but you clearly do. I've already forwarded my concern to someone higher up than you. Hopefully they'll address my concerns adequately and delete this thread (as it is clearly slanderous to a vendor on Ebay). In terms of your deliberate verbal hostilities towards me... well, I'm no expert on why people do what they do, but I suggest you find one to vent your anger to. It might be therapeutic for you to release your hostilities in a constructive fashion, rather than trying (and failing) at belittling someone who has been on this board for only a month. I had no intention of starting an argument with you but I guess that's really the angle that you're trying to push huh?
If you want to start an argument with me, be an adult and send me a PM rather than drag your knuckles on the pavement like a caveman. At least have that decency and make it private; at least in that fashion you could preserve some of your dignity with me.
I am done with you. I'm in the process of figuring out how to block you out when I'm signed in... if this will let me do that.
Have a great day!

That escalated quickly...
For the record, we haven't gone back and deleted/edited each thread that was in violation of it prior to the start of the new slander policy - that would be awfully time-consuming. But in the future, if anyone locates an open thread that they feel would be liable and would like a Mod's attention, please forward it to Aku if it is in the history section, Marc Ridgeway if it is in the training section, or myself, James Gall, Slavia or Paul if it is in the forum in general, and we will take care of it.
THREAD LOCKED.
