Concept for a custom sword

*cracks knuckles* Alrighty, saddle up, this might be a long post, but I am not quite sure because I haven't written it yet
Okay. The skinny is that eventually I plan on commissioning a custom sword from somewhere, but as of now that is way off an unimportant. What is important is the design of said sword.
Now this may sound silly, but in a way I want to base this sword off of Fall/Autumn, which is my favorite season. I love everything about it, the air, the color, the smell. Everything is at its peak and its end. So there is an even larger source of beauty and elegance.
Mushy stuff aside, I want to incorporate these things into a sword. And random ideas have mashed themselves together in my mind, leading me in several directions.
I will organize this into parts for easier comprehension. And mind you this would probably be a hand and a half sword.
Blade:
Obviously a quite prominent part of the sword thus, it needs to fit.
Originally I was thinking of a leaf blade type sword, because I don't see that many and though that the leaf blade could correspond to Fall. I was thinking a blade shaped like this:
But then I thought, while a unique blade, it doesn't quite capture what I am looking for. Then my other thread I made gave me an idea.
After looking at some pictures of various falx's and their shape it clicked. I did some brief research and apparently one could conclude that the weapon was loosely based off of a sickle. Whether true or not, you can attribute the shape of the blade to the same thing.
The Harvest. Thus a slightly sickle style blade seems appropriate and could be quite elegant. Kind of like this, though the curve may be slightly less severe or around that.
The blade may be around that width or maybe wider (not thicker though)
I am not sure of how the blade should be ground (hollow might make it too brittle?) and a fuller might work depending on how thick the blade is.
Guard
I am still slightly stumped with what to do with the guard. Though I know I would want it to be slightly dulled (or shiny?) brass, due to the colors of autumn. I was thinking something simple (like in the wolf sword picture above as an example of how simple) and would want its length to be relatively small (no big crosspiece) and maybe some sort of "volume" to it. Not like a swept hilt, but having additional parts, like a "ring" builds from it. Hard to explain, I'll try to find other pictures (Jody Sampson comes to mind)
An afterthought was maybe the whole guard could be slightly jagged and twisted, much like a tree branch in fall.
Handle
This is fairly straight forward, either a deep redish brown leather or wood handle of the same color (could be quite nice with the grain). With several brass spacers on it.
Pommel
I would think this would be a peened assembly, so it doesn't fall apart. And a fairly simple pommel that wouldn't be too long or anything.
This is one part that I am trying to find something relating to Fall that would fit in with the sword overall as well.
Scabbard
Again, probably a deep red leather scabbard with a wood core that has brass fittings on it, maybe engravings?
These are just some of my thoughts. I am kinda tired and don't feel like writing much more. I should probably have written more about little designs and colors and blah blah blah, but I will do that later.
Thoughts, comments and suggestions are always more than welcome.
