In Flanders Fields In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

amen. I thank all of our veterans who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. I greatly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you all, we would not have a country and the freedoms that many take for granted. Thank you all.

That is so true. They are the real reason for Memorial Day.

Remembering 365 days a year not just one weekend. Amen. I have an uncle, of whom I am named after, who is listed on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Sometimes when I think about his sacrifice to try to save the life of a fellow Marine, I feel sad and ashamed. I dishonoured his name by breaking the law. He had never done so and he volunteered, not got drafted, to join the Marine Corps.
