I just got word this morning that I will be returning to Germany for work related reasons around the end of June. I will certainly meet up again with Markus313 and anybody else who may be in the Leverkusen/ Dusseldorf area of Germany.
My shoulder is healing fine, but I will not be fully active at that time. I will be able to do some low level sparring, but I view this trip more for training/teaching which I will definitely be able to do. Hopefully I can meet up with some more people in the European HEMA community this time around.

Too bad regular HEMA practice will probably not yet be happening due to the pandemic... and too bad Leverkusen is a bit far from Southern Germany!

I got feedback today from the German consulate on entry into Germany. I need a passport, COVID vaccination card, proof of negative test result within 72 hours of travel, a note from my employer as to why I need to be in Germany, I have to pre-register online with the Ministry of Health so they know when and where I am, and then I need to keep all the documents on me at all times when in country. And then the border police can deny entry for any reason if they want. Then I have to get another negative COVID test 72 hours prior to leaving. At least with the vaccination I don't have to quarantine.
Should be fun.
Papers... papers please! Give me your papers....
