I want to add a nice practical Greek Sword to my Collection either a xiphos or kopis in the near future. Eventually i might get even both.
How is the current market Situation of These Sword types. The Devils Edge xyphos and kopis might be good according the Reviews of Skalagrim but what is do you guys here in the Forum think About Devils Edge.
And is Devils Edge really the only maker of Greek swords are ore the some other makings out there in the wild as well?
Would be pleased Hearing some opinions.

Devil's Edge is about where the market sits these days, outside of a few Deepeeka and maybe a Windlass or two. See also Universal Swords and/or Weapon Edge or whatever they go by now. Several of our members have gotten some very nice, affordable custom swords from a gentleman in Nepal who does great work for not much more than a basic production model. There are threads about, I'm forever forgetting how to spell the man's name (Purna...something?) and don't want to go getting it wrong.

Purna Darnal, or GGK (Great Gurkha Khukuri)
You can see his work in my thread on my new kopis.

Neil isn't entirely back in action yet. He's getting closer every day. I feel like I am standing in a queue and will FIGHT anyone who commissions an order before me.

Neil Burridge designs look a lot like gladii to me....did these ancient designs influence the gladius?

I can't speak to the greek swords, but I use the Kukri House, also in Nepal, for all of my custom design needs. They just made me my own take on a 25" bladed Seax. And now I am waiting for a quote on a steel version of the achilles sword from the movie Troy. Usually they run anywhere from 250-400 shipped for custom work. My custom seax cost me roughly $400 shipped. Here's their link if you'd like. You can also draw your own designs and send it to them and they'll make it happen. www.thekhukurihouse.comBronze Age, Neil would be the best in my opinion, but these guys do awesome work as well. www.etsy.com/shop/VikingBronze?ref=cart_shop_name_click&cart_id=6711512678

Neil is not shipping outside the uk last I checked, and I checked recently, something about customs issues, also pricing is very old on his website. Expect to pay triple or more, worth it tho

I have several Viking Bronze swords from before the war. They are quite good and I have more than a few Burridge swords as well. They use 3d scans as a design tool so as long as the scans are good the final product is good. Their customer service was also excellent. Really the only drawback is they are forced to use aluminum bronze rather than brass or true tin/copper bronze. The final product has a very golden tone, not yellow, that I like very much and is pretty close to the 8-10% tin bronze Neil makes himself from scratch.

Sorry for the late reply. patmourin Thanks a lot for mentioning the Viking Bronze swords. I have never heard about the guys and their stuff looks good. Neid Burridge would be first choice but after learning that he is not shipping to Austria I was looking for alternative for quite some time. Good news I might have found an alternative. A Bronze age sword is a project for the future though. My next upcoming sword is going to the Yang Ling Dao form LK Chen
