I only know this: There was a non-Spanish speaking American visiting Mexico that was hungry. He saw a restaurant, entered, and was seated. He could not read the menu and out of desperation pointed to the man at an adjacent table who had a large plate of something that looked appetizing and indicated that he wanted the same. The waiter who could speak English explained that was the bull’s testicles from that day’s fight and there was no more. He did say that he would reserve the man a dish next Saturday, but for the man not to be late as he could not hold them. The next Saturday the tourist showed up at the appointed hour and asked for the dish. When it came it was quite small and looking nothing like the one he had seen the previous Saturday and the man complained. To which the waiter shrugged and replied “Sometimes the man wins, sometime the bull wins”.
