and its the gross messer bye cold steel! its one helluva sword! i only got a chance to cut a milk jug and 2 bottles but its crazy sharp and the balance for the sword of that size is great it feels like a 2 lb sword but its about 3 1/2 or mine is at least i will try to do a review with pics but i need to find a camera and if not i will do a detailed review

It feels light doesnt it ? I've heard a couple of people saying it was heavy, i really cant see why they say this, i'm glad to see i,m not the only one thinking that ! Its a very well made sword, i had some heavy cutting fun with it, wish you the same ! The scabbard is not bad for the price either, one thing for sure: that mirror polish on the blade wont last long

so what have you cut with it? im thinking buying a bunch of beach mats or rolled news paper but its a bit to heavy to swing with 1 hand

Two hands, thats where it really comes alive, i do not think that the weight is the problem, but the balance really, your second hand act as a lever and help to calibrate the balance. Sure i've cut boxes and bottles, but to capture the real power of this blade you've got to find something to cut in an up and down motion, its a real chopper. I've gone trough maconite ( thats how we say in french, i hope the same word works in english ) planks with ease leaving some cosmetic scars on the blade but not dulling it off a bit.
