Not medieval, per se. It was in composition with Kevlar on the front of an M1 Abrams. Works good.

On this I can give you what I have found as a broad opinion.
#1. Did you and your friends like it more then the typical mild or spring steel?
We love the lighter weight compared to mild or SS. Compared to spring, it's about the same, just maintenance free.
#2. Did you find that the 40% lighter kit was truly enough of an advantage to spend the extra money?
Lots to unpack here. The cost can rely on a few factors, like how often the fighter has to replace broken armor, how much they hate derusting etc. And what can you afford...Also, I know a few who sold it because it didn't look like steel...
#3. Who was the manufacturer of said armor?
It varies all over the place. Mine was Ti welded mail.... But lots love Sir Mrks ( armor archive)
#4. Have you ever handled anything anything from MedievalExtreme? Their prices seem excellent for titanium.
No, never heard of them.
#5. Do you think it would also be a good choice for a helmet? I understand that the weight and mass of a helmet actually helps keep you safe.
Helmet...oh HELL no! I know of a few who tested them, but never got to combat, as just testing gave near concussions. Same can be said for spring temper, it needs to be heavy enough to absorb some of the force. So if it were available in medieval times, they may have used it, as they had very different needs than re-enactors.
How's that?

I dint know anything about armor and such but that padded gambezone fabric design look hilarious and ridiculous. Looks like someone’s pajamas. I’d want a solid color but that’s just me. Sorry for the interruption. Go back to what you were discussing.

Maybe find a breastplate instead of the brigandine if you're planning to wear this. If it's made right you'll have the same range of motion as the brigandine will give you and a lot less maintenance. Sooner or later the fabric shell will wear out and you'll need to see a new one, remove lots and lots of rivets, then put lots and lots of rivets back in. A breastplate will need new straps every so often.

Sorry for the interruption. Go back to what you were discussing. The print is optional, you can get it in a solid color, which is what I was going to do anyway. I kind of figured that but I couldn’t resist commenting. Been in ‘lockdown’ too long. Very bored. And sorry for the misspelling above. ‘Don’t’

My thoughts, and sorry for being slow...
Torso- I hate brig...its a pain to maintain. I'd go with a breastplate or a 3 piece breastplate. (which isnt an option)
C- Belt - you can find better for less than half the cost...
Gambeson, fair price if custom fitted, and I'd want to knwo EXACTLY what it was padded with. 'Natural padding' could be anything...uranium is natural...
Greaves, arms legs are ok, but those gauntlets are TERRIBLE, especially at that price.
Sabatons - look ok
The helmet...I'd want inside measurements, pics of it without the liner, and closeups of the inside welds and riveting. For that cost, you can buy 2 customs that look just like it.
So, my overall impression is their stuff is serviceable. I'd want more info before I spent anything. Consider another vendor that I consider premium price to compare. Icefalcon Arms. Also, I suspect there are workers in Ti that do better bowls and bends, theirs seems a little simple.

So before I go too far...what are you going to DO with it? Wear only, no fighting....or something else. Remember, armor is designed for specific threats. Steel fighting armor vs SCA - ish, vs looks only....the list goes on.

So...with little modification, SCA and steel fighting armor are interchangeable. IMO, the steel groups require (correctly) more and better armor than SCA. So when in doubt, get it built for that. As to loooks cool, I'd go with spring steel. You can get strong, light and eye candy all at once. A problem with Ti armor is its a dog to shape, but it seldom dents... Vendors...truly, I'm not on the bleeding edge of who's who in armorers anymore. I do know that even though it's way out of popularity, go ask on the 'Armor Archive' forums. You'll get better and more timely info there.
I do know, if you don't get it tailored properly, you'll play hell getting Ti sized right. Steel is more forgiving
