Which "out of production" blades would you like to see made available again? (This thread is limited to European models - ancient, medieval, renaissance, modern - swords, daggers, axes, polearms, etc). Choose as many answers as you like.
I'll monitor this thread, and add poll choices/answers based on what members say in the thread. I have to list at least two swords to start the poll, so I'll arbitrarily put two models that I want - the Windlass Arbedo and the Windlass Sword of Auray.
It's possible vendors monitor threads like this. If they monitor this and find demand is still there, perhaps they'll do another production run. If not, then at least we can find a consensus and state "we want these out of production models available again".

I have both of those. Great choices! If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Arbedo. As I do have both, I'd vote for an older model, the Windlass Broadsword with Rain Guard. Been looking high and low for that one for ages now.

I thought I could edit this poll. I can't. Mods, help me out please. Is this possible?
If not, I'll add choices to to this poll to include all models suggested. The bad part every time I do that it'll wipe out existing vote counts.

The Valkyrja in the options. If I could find anything it would be a Seaward sword and a Martian Longsword by Jody Samson.

Since I can't edit the poll, I'll delete it.
After this thread has gathered results for a week or to, I'll re-add the poll. Then we can tally votes.

Is this poll intended to be for out of production medieval swords only?

Hanwei (or Kingston/CAS) could sell sharp mortuary swords pretty easily. Along with the Hanwei EIII, Windlass could sell a non-licensed version of the King of Jerusalem sword. Windlass could sell the old Black Prince and Espada Ropera, and even the more recent German Backsword. There were a couple of two handers in the 1990s and then a couple of more recent landschneckt. The list could go on forever. Merry Christmas GC

Is this poll intended to be for out of production medieval swords only? No harm in expanding it to include whatever members want. Hoping vendors will run across this thread and see how much demand there is for certain models.

My recommendation would be first set a time frame for suggestions on what swords they'd like to see. Next once that date has been reached prepare another thread with the poll. If more swords are suggested than the maximum number of responses to the poll, make additional poll threads. The ultimate goal is to prepare a list of the most desired swords to be reproduced. You could make the multiple poll threads one per vendor.

Good advice. That's the plan.
I'll setup the poll on Friday Jan 8th (two weeks). The poll will be added to this thread, no need for a separate thread. Would be nice if polls could be edited. They can't... they can only be added or removed.

I second the Windlass Wakefield, and on a similar note the St.Michael Falchion.
Other than those, I think Windlass themselves still produces these models but haven’t seen them currently carried anywhere in the U.S., so I’ll say: • Windlass Erbach • Windlass 15th Century Longsword • Windlass Arbedo • Windlass Towton
I’ve also gotta take this chance to air a dream that Windlass (or an equally-or-more reputable company) will make a sword based on the Wallace A479 that’s maybe a bit more attainable than Tod’s beauty & more faithful than DSA’s... A German Writhen style hilt, similarly-complex upturned guard with a broad but tapering XVIIIc-ish blade. Could stand to be a few inches longer than the original, but that’s getting real nit-picky.
