That's really cool. I was browsing the sword section of historicalswordszone.com/swords/and saw a lot of really beautiful options. Would you recommend this guy?

That's awesome. Damian made me a super baddass type XIIIa a few years ago. He does great work.

This is going to be a sight to behold. That architectural inspiration is a beautiful touch. Damian does amazing work, and by the specs you listed this seems to be pretty close to something I hope to commission myself one day.
Can’t wait to see the finished product.

Nice!
I’m especially looking forward to seeing the tooling. To me, Gothic stonework is beautiful.

Ohboyohboyohboy this is looking outstanding.
I’m usually partial to all-black-everything, but Oxblood and Black is a suitably regal pairing, for sooth. Where were you thinking of using the Ox coloring? The handle/ scabbard? Are you doing one of those rainguards pictured?
A black hilt, oxblood rainguard, and back to black scabbard would be luxurious looking. But really, those colors play well in almost any configuration my noggin can conjure.
Ohmanohman I’m getting jealous.

Man, I saw the video on Youtube & then ran into it on Instagram... I had no choice but to stop and marvel at it repeatedly despite having seen the steps along the way.
This one is up there for one of the most (Keanu voice) breathtaking commissions I’ve seen. The XVIIIc has understandably become very popular at this point, so it’d have been easy for this to be an “oh, another one” but it still easily stands out despite that.
And the all black everything is heavily appreciated.

I thought there was a flood in my house but it's just my drool. Oh that scabbard ! Congratulations Brother ! Thanks bro, I actually really like how everything including the fittings came out. They look historical and aged. Sort of like an iron fixture on a old mausoleum or cemetery. I think he truly nailed the gothic "evil" look that is everything that I love. I might force some sort of aging on the brass components also just to match a bit better.Yeah, I think you should... I was kinda like "wtf?!" when I saw these brand new, shiny golden accents on an otherwise fittingly dark & weathered whole All in all: really cool (though I'd wish, on a project like this, someone would dare to go for a weathered blade, too...).

To say the tooling on the scabbard is most elegant would be an understatement. Congratulations on your new toy.

My mind is blown and I'm totally jealous of Brother Nathaniel (and Alientude ) now. Olala, that leather work is just so amazing ! (Keep up the good work Brother, seeing all these videos really change something compared to still pictures ! )

This is such an awesome sword. Love Damian's craftsmanship. I talk with him once in a while. Placing a commission from him is on my list. Hopefully I will conjure up some special design for him.
Hope you can get around to a full review of this sword. I would be super interested in seeing details like the polish, the straightness of the central ridge, the gap of the crossguard and the blade, etc.
