First time we watched this movie; speechless. What masterpiece, a shame there is no german version. That story, that camera, that actor! Wow!

Thanks Dandelion, perhaps there will time later today to watch. I love those old Japanese movies. Its amazing; Holger bought it via Amazon from UK; its a blu-ray/dvd double pack, if someine is interested on the DVD we might sell it? But its region 2 of course...

No, seriously: we are SO impressed from this movie; that bad corner they got the young man into - never saw such a hopeless situation, and it got worse when all uncovered. So heartbreaking. What a bold move from a japanese director to completely stand against that samurai facade.
