My persistent, and insistent, comment to anything about Easton is "It has been now, 18 months. Deliver thy verdict on the Dynasty Forge Silver Wave o-Katana".
Seriously, between the "it depends" and Roman bias I just checked out of his content for the better part of at least six months now.
As well, he has positive views of swords and changes them after the "review" rather regularly. Not too reliable, from my experience. His 'testing' being on water bottles is also of little interest. Verbosity is not synonymous with educatory.

Without having watched the video, from the thumbnail, that looks like the one and only DSA sword I have. The longsword, anyway; not the other one. I think I have the older model/version, though. Might have time to watch the video later. Thanks for sharing.

As well, he has positive views of swords and changes them after the "review" rather regularly. Not too reliable, from my experience. His 'testing' being on water bottles is also of little interest. Verbosity is not synonymous with educatory. Absolutely, I don't disagree with anything you said. Still, he is far from a beginner in terms of having his hands on many swords antique and high-end. If he believes that at least initial impressions are very positive I believe it at least provides some reinforced credence to DSA improving their stuff by a respectable margin. By the same metric, Scott Rodell designed a jian and (more recently a dao) by Hanwei. Despite his martial expertise, these swords have sporadically reported flaws (hilt construction, blade flex). Rodell is a master of his craft who has dealt with antiques his entire life. That a production blade has issues lies with the manufacturer, and not the endorser nor designer. So here, I maintain the umbrage with 'celebrity' endorsements of blades. Recall the Clements video where he beat upon a pell with the Windlass Battlecry line? They hold mostly true...but pommels on my own Windlass wiggle and guards twist...seldom a "battlecry" blade...more a 'iaito' by any measure.
