How to dispose of Swords?

Everyone at one point starts moving beyond a certain level when it comes to sword collecting. We all know how artless some 20$ wall-hangers or even 50$ functional swords can be.
With that said, I am starting to want to get more into sword collecting meaning that I only want swords of decent value in my collection. Decent value not meaning only 10,000$ Nihonto, but rather any swords that are respected among the community as examples of respectable craftsmanship. And yes do not worry, the 300$ level swords most widely discussed on SBG are indeed included.
Anyway, the point is: I am wondering if there are any methods of safe disposal for swords. I have some very crude sword-like-objects (SLO's) in my armory which I intend to get rid of because I am ashamed of having them. These swords do not belong in a collection with my other swords and I have no real intentions to keep them. Not to mention, they're dangerous to be left lying around the house in the reach of unknowing persons. Objects like these, despite their lack of structural integrity, remain sharp and deadly and I do not enjoy having these artless weapons in my home. Even if I turn them blunt, I still cannot afford to have them lying around the house because they still are relatively dangerous in the wrong hands. Essentially, I simply just do not want them anymore.
Anyway, how am I to dispose of these items? Throwing them into the general garbage seems like an extremely unreasonable idea since they can seriously injure sanitation workers and potentially land me in deep trouble. The most plausible idea would be to sell them off to someone or give them to someone, but unfortunately for me, I am unaware of anyone responsible enough to possess these weapons. Besides, even if they were responsible and interested enough to handle them, I doubt they would even accept these "swords" simply because anyone with the essential knowledge would flat out reject these objects.
I also don't feel very secure giving it to someone because if they get hurt in an accident, I will feel responsible for their injuries.
Anyone have any thoughts on what I should do? I mean, if it comes down to it then I guess I can store them somewhere... but hopefully we can find a better solution together!
