Methinks I'll give Purna some more business. I like that kopis.
Lebleuchevalier -- would you/could you send me a link on how to get a kopis made, like the one you commissioned from Purna? I want one, but dunno how to make it happen. I especially love the copper.
Email to Purna?
--edit-- nevermind, I see how to do it now. Pretty simple from their website.

They GGH khukuri came in today. All I can say is WOW!!! You guys were right.
This thing is beautiful. The quality and attention to detail are beyond what I imagined. When I hold my Deepeeka up next to it, it's like comparing a toy car to a space shuttle.
Wish I'd listened more earlier.
--edit-- I just went on GGH's site and left a glowing review. Their product is amazing. They deserve it.

11" balance khukuri. Soulfromheart recommended it while it was on sale. And man oh man was he right. This makes my other stuff look like clumsy toys. This one: LINK

Hi Brother Nathanial , these are three of the most beautiful , traditional khukuris I have ever seen from a reproduction maker ..I am actually in the process of communicating with Purna Darnal from GGK to have a semi customised version of the "Kaji Amar Singh Thapa" (but with a carved wood khukuri handle ) , but after looking at these photos , you have actually made my mind up for me to pull the trigger for certain as these look quality products I already own several khukuris from another Nepalese maker but this one I am sure is going to be a bit better quality .

Hello Brother Nathanial , Just in reply to your suggestion , thanks for the heads up on these points but I had already thought of these points and mentioned them to Purna when ordering the khukuri . Have ordered it now and anxiously awaiting its delivery . Looking at your khukuris from GGK , I dont think I will be disappointed . Thanks again

Can I just say to anyone wanting to order custo khukuris or other knives from Purna Darnal of GGK that it is best to break youe messages down into simple English form as he does sometimes struggle to understand your needs . I have ordered two custom khukuris from him and am awaiting delivery next week and I must say now just from the photo updates he regularly sends out that my two khukuris look absolutely stunning and exactly what I ordered . But I will say that I was lucky enough to have a Nepalese guy who lives in the UK from another forum who I am in contact with to do all my translating for me . Even then Purna asked me over again what I wanted .So as I say make it plain and understandable with clear photos or drawings exactly what you require and dont forget the finer details like spinal thicknesses on a tapered blade or if you require satin , RAW OR POLISHED BLADES AND THE SAME WITH THE HANDLES .It is worth taking your time and doing some detailed drawings first and getting them to him on his facebook . Do this and I promise you that you wont be disapointed in his work
